Amos is a sophisticated remote controller designed to manage a collection of smart home gadgets. This long-term project aims to enhance the convenience and human-oriented nature of home life, with full implementation expected by 2020. The plan involves collaboration with a real estate company expanding private properties in Shanghai.

Minimal Reading Required: Based on prior user research and usability tests, we found that users generally prefer graphics over plain text. We applied this insight to the Sorting panel, enhancing recognition with captions placed beneath each icon.

Consistent Icon Set Collection /

Geographical Sensor Checking: Amos features multiple panels, including one for geographical sensor checking. We designed a comprehensive set of interior icons, ensuring consistency in style across different categories. This consistency helps create a cohesive and convincing user experience.

Comprehensive Functionality /

History and Frequency Tracking: Users can check the history of sensor activations over time, with diagrams showing the frequency of use. Units can be adjusted based on the user's needs. An instructional tutorial is also included to guide users through the app’s features. The visual design underwent careful deliberation and extensive testing to meet client expectations.
